The cast, especially the trio of lead characters, delivered heartfelt performances, each bringing authenticity to their roles. Violet portrayed by the talented Carolynne Crowder – was the steady anchor of the trio. Carolynne brought depth, strength, and nuance to the character of Violet, balancing humor and heart effortlessly. Her chemistry with the other leads added an authentic charm to her role, making her journey of empowerment feel both genuine and inspiring. As Doralee, Elizabeth Parkin was able to capture the character’s warmth, wit, and unbreakable spirit with authenticity. Elizabeth’s portrayal of Doralee highlighted her vocal prowess and the down-toearth resilience that Parton originally infused in the character.
