guiding the household in their battle against Dracula’s evil. His accent, stage presence, and delivery reflected the seasoned, world-weary nature of Van Helsing, making him the perfect counterbalance to the more volatile characters around him. He suspected wrongdoing and the audience trusted him. He offered the household ancient protections to keep the count away. His character had a great accent, again well maintained and controlled. James had great characterisation, diction and confidence and delivered his character well – he was both charming and wise. In conclusion, Guide Bridge Theatre’s Dracula was an enthralling and expertly crafted production. From the commanding performances to the innovative stage design, every element was executed with care and precision. The cast delivered unforgettable performances, the technical team created an immersive world, and the audience was left on the edge of their seats, gripped by the chilling tale. Director Ben Hanley, the entire cast, and crew should be immensely proud of what they have accomplished. I have worked with the Director before and it is very obvious he has enjoyed this project; it is what he thrives off and it was brilliantly executed by such a talented cast and crew. This was amateur theatre at its finest, with a level of professionalism that rivalled many larger professional productions.
