BEAUTY and the BEAST Director Connor Parkinson Musical Director Jamie McGillivray Choreography, Coleane Buckley, Mia Arnold, Connor Parkinson and Giada De Rosa. APeel Drama Group Pantoland is where fairytales come true and the audience is taken on a magical journey. All this has to happen against a set that helps to transport the audience into the world of make-believe. Once again the APeel set designer, construction team and scenic artist created, for this season’s offering, the kingdom of Prince Pierre. Lighting and sound designs highlighted and gave that atmosphere to the proceedings. This group has many talented people: Mary Millard’s costumes were as good as you will get. Everyone on stage was so well dressed. Character presentation including hair and makeup was full of colour and sparkle. There are a lot of unsung heroes behind the scenes that we never get to see but they are equal players. Thank you to ALL the production team. After the success of last year’s pantomime Connor Parkinson was engaged to produce this year’s production of Beauty and the Beast. There is a formula and a format, that, if you want a successful pantomime, you have to follow. This young man kept to all the rules. Connor had done his homework and coupled with his experience created a very enjoyable family entertainment. Once again Disney has given an image of a story which is difficult not to follow. The in-house script kept to the middle ground between the Brothers Grimm
