Paul Ryan, as Monsignor O’Hara, added warmth and wit to the production, playing the role with just the right balance of authority and humour. His interactions with the Nuns and Deloris were heartfelt and often laugh-out-loud funny. Rob Haslam, as Curtis Jackson, brought an air of menace to the role, with his commanding stage presence and strong vocals adding gravitas to numbers like “When I Find My Baby.” His portrayal was perfectly complemented by his trio of henchmen, who added layers of humour to the villainous crew. The standout performance of the evening came from Jon Crebbin as Joey, one of Curtis Jackson’s henchmen. Jon brought a unique flair to his role, infusing his character with comic brilliance and impeccable timing. Jon’s bold choice to break the fourth wall and interact with an unsuspecting audience member during his performance was a highlight of the night, drawing uproarious laughter and applause. Jon’s charisma and willingness to take risks made Joey a memorable and beloved character. John Harrison, as TJ, delivered a delightfully goofy and endearing performance, capturing the character’s playful innocence. His comic timing and chemistry with his fellow henchmen were spot-on, making every scene he appeared in a delight. Nick Ward, as Pablo, rounded out the trio with his understated but hilarious portrayal, bringing his own unique charm to the group’s antics. The production was polished and engaging.
