confident and engaging in her role. Libby's sharp delivery and timing, particularly during their comedy number "Stand by Me," ensured the duo added another layer of humour to the show. The ensemble, which included a mix of dancers and smaller roles, brought the show to life with their vibrant energy. Special mention must go to Nyla Robinson, whose infectious smile and enthusiasm were apparent in every moment she was on stage. Nyla's clear enjoyment of the performance was heartwarming to watch, and I have no doubt she will continue to grow in future productions. The technical aspects of the production were also strong, with James Bradbury handling the lighting- the transitions were seamless, and the use of haze and low smoke effects worked well to enhance the magical atmosphere, especially in scenes featuring the witch. The sound, operated by Daniel Oliver-Grant and Kelly Holder, was balanced and well-managed. Microphone cues were spot-on, and the sound effects were well timed, enhancing the comedic and dramatic moments without overpowering the performances. The pyrotechnics in Act One, during the circus scene, were a thrilling addition and left the audience eagerly anticipating the second act. ShowStoppers continues to be a great asset to the local theatre scene, providing accessible and affordable productions that entertain and delight. I look forward to their future endeavours, including their upcoming production of The SpongeBob Musical. A big thank you to Victoria and Rachel for their warm hospitality, and congratulations to the entire cast and crew for delivering such an enjoyable evening. I can't wait to return for their next show!
