Act Reviews 2024 / 2025 Season

It was also wonderful to see PADOS encourage community involvement with a competition for poster artwork, which allowed everyone to contribute to the production. Additionally, their charity bucket collection for the South Manchester Down Syndrome Support Group, which is an admirable initiative where audience members could have a photo with the cast in exchange for a donation. HCB solicitors also match funded this resulting in over £2,000 for the charity. As for the backstage team, they did an excellent job with set design, props, and the working smoke effects in the oven. Their hard work was evident in every scene, ensuring a smooth production. The only technical issue I noticed was that the words on the song sheets didn’t always match the lyrics sung by the cast. Hopefully, this was resolved later in the run, but it was a minor hiccup in an otherwise enjoyable experience. In conclusion, PADOS’s Cinderella was a wonderful, fun-filled evening that brought joy to both children and adults alike. From the performances to the creative set design and songs, the production was a true success. A big thank you to everyone involved in making it happen - cast, crew, creatives, and volunteers alike. I look forward to seeing more of PADOS’s productions in the future. Thank you to David for his hospitality during my visit.
