expressions whenever held or moved by Peter Cliffe - she stole that number purely through her acting. We loved it. And to round off the section, ‘Let’s Twist Again’ - simple but effective choreography and the ensemble seemed to be enjoying themselves. Last but not least, part four was Musical Gems - great songs from musicals I haven’t seen yet - time to investigate more! Opening the section was Diane McIntyre singing ‘Whatever Happened To My Part’ from Spamalot - really lovely vocals and good acting. Danny Gilman sang a lovely version of ‘You Walk With Me’ from The Full Monty - gently and emotionally performed. The ensemble sang an emotional rendition of ‘You Will Be Found’ from Dear Evan Hanson. This must have been a trickier one for them as this was the only number where they had their music in folders and were led by the MD as a choir. It was beautiful and the harmonies were spot on. Another choral number, though without folders, was ‘Fix You’ by Coldplay, performed by the ladies of the ensemble. Beautifully arranged with stunning harmonies throughout. And to round out the night, ‘Way Down Hadestown’ had the whole cast up and dancing - great choreography again, suitable for all abilities, and wonderful vocals and acting from Mike Raymond. Short blast of ‘Bat out of Hel’l after the bows, and the Strictly Showtime curtain closed! Little touches that could easily have been missed, such as two pictures either
